My name is Susan but my friends and colleagues know me as Sue. I am a proud New Yorker and have the privilege to call it my home for over the last two decades.
Skin care has been my life’s passion. Not only am I a licensed aesthetician, a certified aromatherapist and certified in clinical aesthetics but I have over 25 years of experience in this field.
My expertise has been honed through assisting a renowned NYC non-surgical injectable specialist who specializes in Botox, fillers and other medical esthetic procedures, hands on experience and managing staff at a high-end salon and curating multiple skin care lines. I pride myself on being current on all emerging methodologies but also embracing tried and true techniques.

My approach has always been about delivering top quality, personalized customer service and skin treatments. My professional commitment is always to treat each client as a close friend in a professional setting rather then treating them as just a client. There is a lot behind the interaction of giving someone a facial treatment. It’s a harmony of wisdom, trust, and a healing touch.
Hospitality and quality customer service is engraved in me through my culture. I believe in this industry you will find two types of glow. The first is an actual, visible glow achieved by hydration, exfoliation and freshly cleaned skin. The other is a glow you get from positive human interactions by having been in good hands, literally. We are social beings. A certain fulfillment is gained from sharing a social experience. I hope I can add to that experience by using the right techniques to help your skin glow as bright as the person you are inside. Let’s find that glow together.
HOW SKIN THERAPY BY SUSAN BEGAN
When the pandemic swept through NYC, the personal care industry was decimated. Spas and salons were closed indefinitely. I was no longer able to do what was intrinsic to my being – helping others. During those dark days, I soul searched to find a path out of the darkness and it was on this journey of discovery that the idea of Skin Therapy by Susan began. I saw first hand the devastating impact the shut down had on my teenagers and how their lives were completely uprooted. Stress can be a major factor that causes skin issues such as acne. Stress can impact your diet and lifestyle which ultimately will show on your skin. I realized that I had the skills to alleviate such issues.
Due to pandemic protocols I quickly pivoted to a virtual platform which provided a skincare coach at “arms reach.” I was able to analyze, educate and recommend a sensible skin care regimen customized for my clients’ individual needs.
Fast forward to now. In-person treatments are available and back in demand. I am able to revert back to seeing clients to perform hands-on skin treatments.
I am now conveniently located in the Nomad neighborhood of Manhattan. You will enjoy our time together in a comfortable, private space where I can do for you what I love to do best.
