How long is the facial?
The duration of a facial treatment is 60 minutes. Based on the individual, it could take 5 or 10 minutes more to complete. Please allow a bit of extra time.
What are the steps of a basic facial?
Treatment steps: double cleansing, skin analysis, enzyme exfoliation, relaxing facial massage, extractions and treatment mask.
Can I apply make up after my treatment?
I strongly recommend NOT applying anything on your freshly extracted and exfoliated skin aside from the products used in the facial. For best results wait at least 4-5 hours If you must, I suggest using freshly cleaned brushes or disposables.
What is a facial add-on and is it necessary?
The basic facial is a wonderful way to clean and maintain normal, healthy skin. For individuals with specific concerns and needed improvements, an add-on treatment will provide the best results. I will guide you in making the best selection for your skin condition.
How often should I get a facial?
To keep normal, healthy skin radiant and clean, it is best to have a facial once a month. This is also true if you are working towards improvements for any skin concerns. If you have oily skin or suffer from frequent acne, every three weeks is recommended.
What if I break out after my facial?
You shouldn’t expect any breakouts or side effects from your facial but it’s normal to get a minor, small pimple afterwards. It’s the skin’s external way to detoxify and rid itself of impurities.
Will my skin look irritated and red after my facial?
If your facial includes heavy extractions or you have not had your pores cleaned in a long time, you can expect minor redness for 15-20 minutes especially if you have sensitive and reactive skin.
How many days prior to my special event should I get a treatment?
It’s best to re-visit this question after your initial consultation once we determine what treatments your skin will need and how often. A good guideline is 3 days prior to your event for hydration/anti-aging treatments and 7 days prior for a deep pore extraction or acne facial.
How long have you been doing facials?
I have been a licensed esthetician since 1995 and have been working in the industry for over 25 years. I have been strictly hands-on providing skin care treatments for clients of all ages and skin types for the last 10 years.
